Adding the number 4 to the end of Facebook’s URL will automatically direct you to Mark Zuckerberg’s wall.

Type in this web address: www.facebook.com/4. We’re not sure why Zuckerberg chose the fourth ID number instead of number 1, but this is a quick and easy way to get to the original Facebook wall that is owned by its creator. Adding the numbers 5 or 6 to the end of the URL will take you to the respective profiles of Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz, Facebook co-founders and Mark’s former college roommates. Tacking a 7 onto the web address leads to the profile of Arie Hasit, another good friend of Zuckerberg from his days at Harvard. To see the first few registered profiles of other Facebook employees.

For the first time in history, two planets have been discovered that share the same orbit.

The pair of planets are part of a four-planet solar system called KOI-730. They orbit a sun-like star, one 60 degrees ahead of the other, with a full revolution taking 9.8 days. The reason this phenomenon is possible is because there are two gravitational "sweet spots" called Lagrange points along a planetary body's orbit where another body can share the same orbit. These points are located 60 degrees ahead of and 60 degrees behind the orbiting object.

This even occurs within our solar system - group of asteroids called Trojans inhabit the Lagrange points of Jupiter's orbit! The existence of this pair of planets also supports an existing theory that the moon was formed by the collision of the Earth and a Mars-sized planet that once shared its orbit.

A GOOGLE fact.

The name ‘Google’ was an accident. A spelling mistake made by the original founders who thought they were going for ‘Googol’.

An Egyptian man named his newborn daughter "Facebook."

Gamal Ibrahim chose this name for his child in honor of the social network's role in the recent Egyptian revolution that toppled the Honi Mubarak regime. The revolt against longtime president Hosni Mubarak began on January 25th and was largely fueled by young people organizing themselves on Facebook and other social websites. "Facebook Ibrahim" does have a nice ring to it. At least it's not "MySpace Ibrahim". Mark Zuckerberg should be honored.

In fact, many credit a Facebook page for starting the movement in the first place. Before the massive protests, a 30-year-old Egyptian marketing executive for Google named Wael Ghonim started a Facebook page called "We are all Khaled Said" in memory of a critic of the government who was beaten to death by police in June. This Facebook page quickly became a central hub and organizing tool for Egyptian protests.

Facebook's oldest user is 103...and she updates from an iPad.

Great-grandmother Lillian Lowe has taken the title of oldest Facebooker from 104-year-old Ivy Bean, who died in her sleep this past July. Lillian checks her wall about twice a week and is friends with 34 different people, including 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren!

Born in 1907, Lillian has seen all kinds of changes during her lifetime - the sinking of the Titanic, two World Wars, the first computer, and now the advent of social networking and tablet computers!

Thanks to the publicity that comes with being dubbed the oldest person on Facebook, she has recently received over 900 Facebook friend requests. She says she has also heard of Twitter, but does not know what it is.
